Digitally assisted diagnostics arrive at Medica 2019, the world’s largest medical trade fair

Every November the German city of Dusseldorf plays host to the largest medical trade fair in the world. With more than 5,000 exhibitors from more than 70 countries spread across 17 halls, MEDICA is a must for anyone with an interest in the healthcare and diagnostics market.

That’s why between November 18th-21st Bond Digital Health will be attending the event for the second year in a row. We will be introducing our leading digital platform for mobile diagnostics and also supporting some of our existing clients in the lateral flow diagnostics sector.

Phil Groom, our commercial director, attended last year’s event and is keen to return.

He said: “Last year was an eye-opener. I knew MEDICA was big but I had no idea how big or how busy it was going to be. If there’s a specific market segment you are interested in, such as lateral flow diagnostics, you can guarantee that every major company in that segment will be in attendance. It’s really useful to attend to gain an insight into what’s happening in the market, to learn about new developments and generally just check out the landscape.”

During last year’s visit to MEDICA Phil helped Bond secure an international contract with a German company. This year he will be supporting a lateral flow client to launch their new app, produced by Bond. He will be conducting market research with another client and following up on several leads from last month’s Advanced Lateral Flow Course.

Phil added: “Of course this year we will also be able to tell attendees about Transform, our industry leading end-to-end digital platform for lateral flow. We launched Transform at ALFC to huge interest and we’re looking forward to sharing our development with even more people at MEDICA.”

Phil will be based at the Welsh Government pavilion, C70 in Hall 3. To arrange a meeting, email him directly here. You can also catch him at the Welsh Government Networking Reception on Monday, booth K29 in Hall 16 from 4-6pm.
