Bond Digital Health has secured new business opportunities in the United States following a successful trip to a key event in Germany.
In November, Bond’s commercial director Phil Groom attended Medica, the world’s largest medical trade fair in Dusseldorf, Germany, where he introduced Transform™, our leading digital platform for mobile diagnostics.
Across a packed two days of meetings, Phil caught up with new and existing clients including a major player and OEM in the lateral flow diagnostics sector based in California.
The company said it was “very impressed” by Bond’s digital technology, especially its potential to transform lateral flow assays from qualitative to quantitative tests. It said the unique functionality of Bond’s Transform platform was something its customers were increasingly seeking to help take their tests to the next level.
The company in question wants to offer an all-through lateral flow test service and is keen for Bond’s technology to drive that. Phil is now planning a trip to California in the New Year to progress the relationship.
Phil said: “We know that our Transform platform is unique and has the potential to literally transform lateral flow, so to hear such positive feedback from one of the biggest businesses in this sector was a huge boost for us.
“It shows that lateral flow test developers and manufacturers want their tests to do more but they can’t achieve that on their own. By working with a company like Bond Digital Health, using our bespoke digital technology backed up by our regulatory and compliance expertise, they can take their tests to the next level.”
During the show Phil was based on the Welsh Government pavilion, which itself led to several new opportunities.
Phil said: “Not only was it an excellent base to work from, with outstanding networking opportunities, but it was also a great opportunity to further our relationship with the Welsh Government.
“As a result, we have been invited to take part in a Welsh Government-led trade mission to the US next year.”
