Team growth, employer award and more for Bond health

We’ve reached another milestone in the Bond Digital Health journey.

If you’ve been following our news, then you know we never settle for anything less than excellence. This philosophy rings true across the company, starting with the products we build for clients and extending to our people and the way we do things internally.

Team Bond has grown organically over the last few years as our business has expanded and developed into new markets.

With 2020 shaping up to be our biggest year yet, we knew we needed to scale the team with the right people so we could seize the opportunities ahead and deliver the projects we have in the pipeline.

So, on our latest recruitment drive, we went looking for the best technology people out there. Two of them have just joined us.

Rachel Sloan is our new Senior Developer. With a 20-year career in web development in businesses across the US and UK, Rachel brings much needed experience and knowledge to the team.

She will initially focus on building the interface for our Transform platform and helping other developers join our team.

“It’s very exciting to be working for a company like Bond on greenfield projects using the latest technologies and frameworks, especially as the platform has the potential to help so many people,” said Rachel.

Rory Power is our new Front End Developer. He has experience of working in software development for both a digital agency and a tech startup.

His role will see him working with the head of product design to translate design specifications into a finished product.

He said:

“I’m excited to be working at Bond and to be developing software that will be hugely beneficial for the medical sector. The progressive technology stack and friendly team are also major plus points for me.”

We are delighted to welcome Rachel and Rory to Team Bond – even if we haven’t actually met them in person yet!

We knew that attracting quality people was just the first step. Once you’ve done that, you have to make sure they want to stick around for the journey. Our COO Dave Taylor shared some insights on how we do this in this blog.

In the end of 2019, we joined an HR best practice business programme – it presented a unique opportunity to review our business practices and refine our culture and our employer brand.

We are now proud holders of a nationally recognised HR award – the Chwarae Teg ‘FairPlay Employer’ Achieving award. This is a significant milestone and demonstrator of our commitment to creating and sustaining a fair and inclusive environment and making Bond Digital Health a great place to work.
