Microarray Ltd is a specialist wound healing company founded as a spin-out from Manchester University, UK.
The company has wide ranging expertise in the fields of wound dressing product development and diagnostic sensor technologies and concentrates its R&D activities on innovative treatment of chronic wounds and on wound care diagnostics.
Project aims & challenges
Microarray set out to develop a point-of-care test using lateral flow technology to look for new biomarkers in chronic wounds and improve quality of care.
The intended user group is tissue viability nurses (TVNs) that would register patients, perform the test at the point-of-care and create records kept on the cloud. Microarray required an app, a cloud data platform and an accessible and secure web portal for TVNs and clinical team members to log on and view results history.
The data would prove useful once aggregated – then it can be analysed for trends and to inform appropriate intervention.
They turned to Transform® from Bond Digital Health and their health data analytics platform.
For Microarray, we are designing and developing a digital solution for data management, similar to the one built for this client.
Currently, we are finalising a patient app which includes a visual tutorial about testing kit use and wirelessly connects to a cloud data platform capturing wound care samples for analysis.
Clinical decision-making at the point-of-care is powered by a visual web portal where data can be accessed 24/7. Secure and compliant, our digital platform is elevating Microarray’s innovative product by making it far more valuable both commercially and for the end users.
Our in-house project management expertise enables the development of the digital components within deadlines and in accordance with project objectives, meaning the client has been able to focus on perfecting their innovative in-vitro diagnostic technology.
